How long should Mobility Scooter batteries last?

We get asked this question every week. There is no perfect answer but here is a guide. A mobility batteries life span is dependent on how often the mobility scooter is used, the use or distance the scooter is designed for, the type of terrain the scooter travels over, the type of battery being used, and how often the scooter batteries are recharged. If these factors are okay, then you should get around 5 years. Unfortunately we see people with the wrong type of scooter or people with the wrong type of batteries installed and that's when batteries may only last 6-12months.
